Hi all I have tried to look for the installation command line switches but I could not find an option that would install UltraVNC in a /Silent mode but with another switch that say /NoService. TightVNC Install (MSI Version): Here is my TightVNC Install. Try executing the command manually from PC and see if you get same error.
I've created batch files that will uninstall my old vnc software, install the thight-vnc software, install the tight-vnc service, and install the default reg settings for the tight-vnc software. Is there a way to suppress the dialog boxes after the service and reg entries are installed? I've highlighted the lines that are prompting dialog boxes. The tightreg.reg is a registry export from a configured pc that contains a default password and some default software settings for tight-vnc. I have win95/98/nt4/2k pc's that I'll be rolling this package out to with a logon script software (script logic 4.0).
Any help would be great. Hello all, With tightvnc-2.7.10-setup-32bit.msi, I was able to use the command: msiexec /i tightvnc-2.7.10-setup-32bit.msi /quiet /norestart ADDLOCAL='Server' SERVERREGISTERASSERVICE=1 SERVERADDFIREWALLEXCEPTION=1 SERVERALLOWSAS=1 SETUSEVNCAUTHENTICATION=1 VALUEOFUSEVNCAUTHENTICATION=1 SETPASSWORD=1 VALUEOFPASSWORD=XXX SETUSECONTROLAUTHENTICATION=1 VALUEOFUSECONTROLAUTHENTICATION=1 SETCONTROLPASSWORD=1 to install TightVNC server and set the password and it worked perfectly. I switched to tightvnc-2.8.5-gpl-setup-32bit.msi and the install works, but it says 'Password not set' and I can't connect. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks, Thane.
